NOTICE OF MEETING TO ADOPT 2025-26 BUDGET EXTENSION AND CONDUCT PUBLIC
HEARING
NOTICE is hereby given, pursuant to RCW 28A.505.050 and RCW 28A.505.060, that the Board of
Directors (the “Board”) of Nespelem School District No. 14, Grant County, Washington (the
“District”) will hold their regular meeting on April 27, 2026, commencing at 12:00 PM at 229 School
House Loop Road, Nespelem, Washington. The public hearing is called for the purpose of fixing and
adopting the general fund and capital projects fund budget extension of the District for the 2025-26
fiscal year. Prior to adoption of the 2025-26 budget extensions, the Board will hold a hearing for the
purpose of receiving comments from the public on the 2025-26 budget extensions. Any person may
appear at the hearing and be heard for or against any part of the 2025-26 budget extensions. Upon
conclusion of the hearing, the Board shall fix and determine the appropriation from each fund
contained in the 2025-26 budget extensions and shall, by resolution, adopt the 2025-26 budget
extensions. 2025-26 budget information is available at the district office.

Health & Safety:
The Smile Mobile will be on campus April 28th – May 7th .
The Summer EBT will provide grocery benefits to families with eligible school age children. Call Accenture if you have questions: 1-833-543-3230. Contact the Office if your address or income has changed in the past year.
Academic & Events:
The Book Fair will run April 13th – 16th .
The Career Fair will be in the HS from 8 am – Noon on the 16th.
Please join the Parent Advisory meeting on the 21st @ 6 pm.
STEM Family Night with the CCT Youth Team will take place @ 6 pm on the 29th .
The Student of the Month Powwow will be held on the 30th @ 1:45 pm.
Please start thinking about summer school. Registration will be open after break.
Registration for next Fall will be opening soon as well.
Employment:
NSD is looking for a cook currently. Next year the District will need a Kinder, 5th Grade, Reading Specialist, Tribal Language, Music Teacher, FT Nurse, SSO, Secondary Science Teacher, Facilities Director Intern, paras, and long term substitute teacher. All Sports positions, including AD, for the 2026 – 27 SY are open as well. Signing bonuses are available. Substitute positions are always open throughout the District.
Interviews for next year will take place in May.
Sports:
Spring sports includes: Track
The next MS Track Meet will be in Manson @ 23rd. The HS team has Districts on the 21st.
All sports schedules are also posted on the website.
Facilities & Transportation:
The CTE Facility should be ready for a Ribbon Cutting Ceremony in May.
